The Story Behind The Mission
Conservation without politics. Conservation without discrimination. Because we don’t care what you look like or what you believe in, but if you any ounce of love or passion to protect our wildlife and our wilderness, we’d love to have you a part of our family. The Caledonia Forest and Wild Embassy mission can only be successful with the growth and nurture of our private conservation community. Lets save the world together.
Caledonia Forest, the organizer of the Wild Embassy, came to fruition in order to put forest and wildlife conservation at the forefront of our minds. Conservation has had two major issues that have created a disconnect for the average citizen. First, conservation is considered something done outside of the United States in foreign countries, which leads to a disconnect that it’s something important in our own backyards. Two, the political stances on conservation have created a heated divide between people instead of bringing them together for the common good of protecting our wild planet.
At Caledonia Forest - we have very specific goals we are wanting to attain. First, conserving forests and our wildlife population here in the United States through land conservation management and reforesting barren lands. Second, building an affordable education program that allows people to learn how to reconnect with their wild roots. What do we mean by “wild roots?” We mean going back to the knowledge our ancestors had about living from the land. Commonly associated with the crafts and knowledge found in homesteading. We as a culture and society have become so dependent on big box stores and large pharma companies - that we no longer have a healthy relationship with our food or the medicine we put in our bodies.
The key to conservation is building a relationship. A relationship between people and our natural world. When you can build that relationship, it’s truly the best way to get people motivated about saving our planet. Because it’s no longer “just” about saving some forest in the Amazon, or “just” saving our oceans from plastic waste (which are all absolutely important), but learning how saving species of plants and animals in our own backyards can make a drastic difference in conservation efforts. It no longer has to be a stranger in a foreign land, conservation can be what you do in your own backyard and in your home.
We have utilized nearly $2 million dollars worth of personal funds to begin our conservation efforts throughout the U.S. but it can’t be done without our community - without you. Unfortunately, efforts to protect our planet and her species comes at an incredible cost. But the Wild Embassy has created an affordable education program that is filled with content rich valuable information and 100% of the membership profits go directly towards our efforts. We don’t want to ask for donations like most conservation programs do - we want to offer you something of significant value and in return, utilize your support to expand our efforts. The most common phrase we hear is, “I want to save the planet but I don’t know how or I can’t afford it.” We’ve created a community that not only makes it possible for you to help protect our planet for less than a cup of coffee each month - but in turn, the knowledge you can obtain from our community is priceless. If all 8 billion people in the world did only ONE thing towards the protection of our planet, and did so willingly because of the relationship they created with the natural world, we can save the world at a much faster pace then we are now.
The key to our community’s success is the volume of our ambassadors. We look forward to you joining the Caledonia Forest family and being an official Wild Embassy ambassador and hope that you’ll invite your friends and family to be a part of this important cause. If you’re tired of forests and wild habitats being destroyed in your neighborhood, cities, and states - then become a proud ambassador. It’s with your support that we can begin our land acquisition projects to protect established forests and reforest barren lands. In addition to these projects, your support lends us the ability to push for laws that require builders to leave natural greenspace in their development areas for the local wildlife.
If you’re tired of the dead bodies of deer and other wildlife building up on the side of roads - because their habitats are long gone, join the program. If you’re tired of all of the beautiful forest habitats in your city being stripped bare and the wildlife killed or displaced, join the program. If you want the opportunity to make an impact in the conservation of our planet and her species, become a proud ambassador. We need you and we can’t wait to have your support!
